Good research. I occasionally dive into reading long articles of Steve Pavlina, for example, but mostly I have patience enough to read only 200-700 words articles. Ability to write as much as needed is the key. If one has a lot to say about his theme, and his article is entertaining and informative, the readers will enjoy it. Otherwise concise articles are the best.
